The DO-DATA-HACKATHON is open to students, researchers, school students, and members of the public from all disciplines who are passionate about innovation, teamwork, and solving real-world industry challenges.

WHERE DOES THE HACKATHON TAKE PLACE?

The Hackathon will be hosted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship & Transfer at TU Dortmund University and will take place on the South Campus of TU Dortmund University.

Teams are assigned by random draw on the first day of the Hackathon. This ensures a balanced and random distribution of participants, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging creative problem-solving.

No, accommodation will not be provided. Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation as well as their travel to and from the event.

Yes, meals and refreshments will be provided throughout the event. If you have any special dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian or vegan), please indicate them in the registration form.

Yes, participants are expected to attend the Makerthon for its entire duration to ensure effective teamwork. Any exceptions (e.g., due to illness) must be communicated as early as possible.

Yes, bringing your own laptop is recommended so that you can actively participate in your team’s work, such as preparing presentations, conducting research, and completing other project-related tasks.
